Thanksgiving is a time for everyone to gather with family, enjoy good food and give thanks, but for many, there seems little to be thankful for. Bad decisions, tragedies, or a lifetime of abuse have left some without a home or family. At New Jerusalem COGICJA we give hope to the hopeless and a reason to be thankful. We, as a church, have always been committed to serving the community, which includes providing Thanksgiving Baskets every year. Our goal is to put smiles on others faces and create an impact on their lives.

Each basket will include everything a family needs for a great Thanksgiving. Items contain a frozen turkey, potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, vegetables, rolls, drink, and dessert. Distribution will take place at 1492 Cordova Rd, Orangeburg, S.C., 29118 on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 9:00am-1:00pm. There will also be a comedy show, spoken word, a live performance by The New Jerusalem Mass Choir, and an original play by our very own Tots for Christ.

During Thanksgiving, we give thanks for one another by sharing with family and friends. New Jerusalem COGICJA is an organization committed to assisting the least, the last, and the lost. We provide a means of hope by inspiring life-long learning and encouraging a personal relationship with God to those we serve.

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Philippians 4:6
